Around the corner from St Kilda's exciting Acland Street, a spot famous for a heady mix of bars, cafes, restaurants and cultural venues. The many Eastern European cake stores must be visited for an afternoon snack or to pick up dessert for later, while spots like Lentil As Anything, Smash Mouth, Kotch Lane and Babu Ji Curry should all be visited at some time during your stay. If you are looking for relaxing green space or fresh air, the St Kilda Botanical Gardens are just across the road, and the beach is only 10 minute's walk away.
the best option is to catch the 96 tram from Southern Cross Railway Station/Spencer Street to get off at Barkly Street/Acland Street. From here, head down Barkly Street, turn left on Blessington Street, and right on Herbert Street.

A very short walk to the tram routes 3, 16, 67 and to the airport SkyBus stop - all very close on Fitzroy St.
SkyBus St Kilda Express stop is just around the corner in Fitzroy St.
For longer distance train travel Balaclave or Windsor which are the closest stations, within about 25 minutes walking distance. Otherwise the 16 or 3 trams will get you to Flinders St station in the city in less than 30 minutes, or the 96 tram will get you to Southern Cross station in the city in about 20 minutes.
